This morning I went to apply for my Pakistani VISA. Today was carefully planned to be the last time I'll have to go into London to sort it. And I was met by a polite notice to say that today is eid-milad-un-nabi, so the embassy is closed. There was also a small ruckle of people arguing with what looked like a cleaner to be let in. They have traveled some distance to get into London. Like Wales.
Which reminds me, embassys are actually little islands of each country in the UK.
Best remember this next time. I will join the throngs to try and get a visa in a day tomorrow !
